Play Pictionary online with friends, free
Drawdle is Pictionary in your browser. Make a room, send the link, and take turns drawing while everyone else guesses. No board, no sand timer, no hunting for a pencil that works.
Start a gameHow it differs from the board game
In the box game, teams race each other across a board. In Drawdle every player plays for themselves: the drawer picks a word, everyone else types guesses into the chat, and the clock and the score are handled for you.
Letters of the word appear as the time runs down, so even a hopeless drawing usually ends with somebody getting it. Guess early and you score more. The drawer scores too, for every player who gets it right.
What you need
- A phone, tablet or laptop for each player, with a web browser.
- The invite link, shared wherever your group talks: WhatsApp, Instagram, Slack, Teams.
- Between 2 and 16 players. Four to ten is the sweet spot.
No app to install and no accounts. On a phone you can add Drawdle to your home screen and it opens like an app.
Ideas for your next game
Family on a video call
Everyone opens the link on their own device and keeps talking on Zoom, Google Meet or WhatsApp video. Set the difficulty to Easy so the kids can draw every word.
Office team games
Turn on the Corporate slang pack and watch your manager try to draw “synergy” or “circle back”. A game takes about fifteen minutes: a good icebreaker for remote teams.
Classroom revision
Add this week's vocabulary as custom words (at least ten) and play with only those. Drawing a word is a surprisingly good way to remember it.
Desi game night
Switch on the Desi pack for samosas, cricket, Holi, auto rickshaws and Bollywood classics. See the full list of Indian Pictionary words.
